About Nicola Levy

nicola levyNicola Levy grew up knitting and sewing. Initially trained in physiotherapy, she left the medical world and turned her passion and hobby into a career. After twelve years in the fashion industry, designing sweaters for major labels in the English and American women’s wear market, Nicola’s first child was born. And so were her sweaters for babies. Nicola combined her hands-on craft skills with her fashion sentiment, to create beautiful handmade knitwear for babies. The craftsmanship, design sensibility, colour palettes, softness and attention to detail behind her work speak for themselves: her sweaters have sold successfully in high end shops across the USA, Canada and England.

Nicola takes great pride in ensuring that every garment she makes is special, that it is individual and not simply “another sweater”. Her knitwear is not made using cheap overseas labour; the design remains uncompromised, as does the quality of the garments and yarn choices. Each piece is a labour of love, handmade in the UK, benefiting local industry and supporting a traditional craft.

With thanks

I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to my photographer and friend, Henrik Stenberg - www.henrikstenberg.com - without whom this would not have been possible. Thanks also to the lovely models and their parents who participated in making the clothes look so good. Lastly, a huge thank you to Fiona and Alexander Cox and Jan Levy for providing great locations and continued support.
